SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Health said on Saturday that it had been notified of the first suspected case of the mystery Wuhan virus here, involving a three-year-old girl from China who had pneumonia and a travel history to the Chinese city of Wuhan.
She has been warded for further assessment and treatment, and isolated as a precautionary measure, said the Ministry. She was in stable condition, and preliminary tests showed that the case was positive for Respiratory Syncytial Virus, a common cause of childhood pneumonia, it added.MOH noted that the girl had not visited the Huanan seafood wholesale market in Wuhan associated with the cluster of pneumonia cases.
