Australian tourism leaders are fearful the coronavirus will cause a plunge in the number of Chinese visitors.

Almost half a million Chinese tourists visited the sunshine state in the year ending September, injecting about $1.5 billion into the state's tourist economy.

China's suspension on group travel is going to have an impact on Australia's tourism industry, particularly as it is still recovering from the impacts of the bushfires and drought.

All of Australia needs to get used to no more china if you want more numbers raise up other developing nations that are free and aren’t a threat. Boycott china

We don't want it here thanks

Good. Besides, most of the tours they go on are owned and run by Chinese companies. The money doesn’t stay in Australia.

In other news, 17million plus hectares of charred landscape and wildlife will have no effect on tourist numbers.

So lets put peoples' health or even lives at risk, what a dumb article.

Never mind The bushfires will attract plenty of foreign visitors Those pesky fire chiefs who demanded action a year ago have no vision

Sounds just like the TAT here in Thailand, money no.1,anything else not important ffs.

Excellent they wont be buying up all our houses whilst there were here

Bad news for Business : Good news for our safety

Must be a quarantine lockout of Chinese tourists - the pressure will them come from these people to demand change in Chinese governance.

Im more fearful of coronovirus spreading. Self-serving greedy tourism leaders.

Together with the bs that the Great Barrier Reef has dried up, and our entire country is on fire, is anyone surprised?

Well isn't that a good thing right now?

Well would you rather a flood of them a deal with the fallout when they spread their germs isay no entrance to anyone who has been to Wigan or China in the last 3 months and anyone who has should be quarantined for a month

Bigger things to worry about for us in the real world.
