China's acting ambassador to Israel has caused a stir with remarks comparing the travel bans against Chinese citizens with the turning away of Jewish refugees during the Holocaust.

In an English-language conference in Tel Aviv, Dai Yuming said the travel bans faced by Chinese citizens reminds him of"the old days, the old stories that happened in World War Two, the Holocaust, the darkest days in human history." "Millions of Jewish were killed, and many, many Jewish were refused when they tried to seek assistance from other countries. Only very, very few countries opened their door, and among them is China," he said. The Chinese Embassy in Israel later released a statement apologising for the remarks.

"There was no intention whatsoever to compare the dark days of the Holocaust with the current situation and the efforts taken by the Israeli government to protect its citizens." Israel has joined other countries in denying entry to non-national visitors who have recently been in China.

Seriously, after what they do to their people and countries they invade ,eg; Tibet , by taking away freedom of speech, religious prosecution and Chinese calling there country the motherland ( that is very much like the old Nazi Germany)!

The next comment from the Chinese will state that these actions violate Human Rights !!!!

Racists Chinese

That is the ignorance and pushy way the Chinese are. Caring for themselves and just for themselves, at the same time the rest of the world is helping them out. If this started in another country like Australia, China would have stop all export and travel immediately.

absolutely ridiculous comment....

Ramps up = finally makes a call, dragged to making the right decision Finally What if people fly from China to another country and then fly to Aus (within 14 days)? Relying on Border Force finding and reading the exit stamp date on the passport? If yes, I hope their maths is goood enough and fast enough especially when the time zone is also a variable.
