Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines cancelled their flights between Taipei and Manila in compliance with the Philippine government’s order expanding the travel ban to include Taiwan to manage the risks associated with the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

The expanded directive temporarily bans the entry of any person, regardless of nationality — except Filipino citizens and holders of Permanent Resident Visa issued by the Philippine Government — who will be coming from Greater China, including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, or those who have been to the affected areas within 14 days prior to their arrival in the Philippines.

Filipinos travelling to and from points in greater China, including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan are also included in the temporary ban.
