The new travel restrictions came in on Sunday as NSW Chief Heath Officer Kerry Chant confirmed a fifth person in the state had contracted the virus, a man in his 40s who arrived in Sydney from Iran.

Shouldn’t that read “reported cases” or “confirmed cases”? South Korea are doing thorough and repeated testing - it seems no one in Iran has a clue how widespread the virus is there, so this ban shouldn’t be so surprising should it?

Hmmm we have banned people coming in from China and Iran, so why aren't we banning travellers from Italy and South Korea? The rise in infections in those countries warrant exclusion of people entering Australia from both of those countries.

It's fair enough, as the number is not the most vital problem but how the government responds and treats their own people is. People want to stay with their family in a familiar environment when they are sick, unless they could not get treated properly.
