Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has recommended Sunday that elderly and vulnerable Americans limit their exposure to travel and large crowds due to the coronavirus outbreak.

There are more than 100,000 confirmed cases around the world, according to the World Health Organization. Some countries are taking dramatic steps in hope of stopping the virus' spread; in Italy, millions are on lockdown in the Lombardy region.

Federal and local governments and health agencies are scrambling to understand the virus' spread in the U.S. and take measures to stop it. Gov. Larry Hogan, R-Md., said on"Meet the Press":"The governors are really on the front lines. I think there's been pretty good cooperation at the federal, state and local level, but this thing is escalating so rapidly that information is changing, not only on a daily basis, but almost on an hourly basis.

"Early on, there were some missteps with regard to the test and some technical aspects to it. But right now, I believe, 1.1 million tests have already been sent out. By Monday, there'll be an additional 400,000. And by the end of next week, probably around 4 million," he said. Even so, he added that while"we're getting a better sense" of the scope of the outbreak"as the days go by,""unfortunately that better sense is not encouraging, because we're seeing community spread," which is when the virus spreads locally instead of only to people with exposure abroad.

If you couldn't win re-election and Russia couldn't help you this time, unless people didn't go to vote what would you do? Create and spread a virus that would have them scared to go out in public...and vote.

We can infect others before we know we are sick without any symptoms. 60% of the world population will contract Covid-19 according to the credible Richard Engel NBC reporting. That is 4.8 billion people and with an estimated 2.3% death rate: 110,400,000 million deaths.

nytimes washingtonpost WSJ SpeakerPelosi SenSchumer RepSpeier NicolleDWallace maddow Everyone must listen to Dr Fauci and the Scientists and not Dr Trump. Spreading disinformation will only make worse.

So do the same as you would do for the regular flu - ok - we can all stop acting like the sky is falling and MSM can stop the pushing the panic crap.

Except for Trump rallies ☝️

That makes sense since they are the ones vulnerable.

No shit.

Duh. But media is blowing this all up just to cause hysteria.

Fear Mongers as usual

red__RD I read this as a dam is breaking and decent bureaucrats are trying to do their job?

I kissed my grandma goodnight and she slipped me the tongue. 🤮

GODZILLASLAYS65 ...which Trump will no doubt translate as a partisan attempt to prevent people attending his rallies. Because why choose a sensible answer when there's a conspiracy theory to be had?

It's hard to imagine the number of events of all kinds that will be canceled over the coming months, costing billions and billions in lost revenue to small individual proprietors and major corporations alike. The most financially vulnerable will suffer the most. COVID19
