Senator Payne, who is travelling to the United States where she will meet with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to discuss the two nations' coronavirus responses, said the Morrison government was keeping a travel ban for Italy "under consideration".Alessia Pierdomenico "We have obviously taken decisions in relation to [China, South Korea and Iran] ... and we will keep doing that," she told 2GB radio on Monday afternoon.Ferrari staff arrived in Melbourne ahead of this weekend's Formula One Grand Prix.Italy briefly overtook South Korea as the worst-hit country outside China on Sunday, when confirmed cases jumped 1300 in a single day to 6387.

Experts, bureaucrats, academics, journalists, politicians, are the problem. Common sense, what people want, is derided.

Think about it... we ALREADY have coronavirus in Australia... as long as we aren't knowingly importing sick travelers, but are taking back our own who may need medical support, what the hell is the point of travel bans?

Does anyone else see the irony on Pay e travelling to the US to discuss travel bans? Wtf? Have the Australian government never heard of Skype?

I consider the ‘experts’ to be a bit pointless too.

That seems to defy basic practise in dealing with a pandemic. Even if the virus is out of control in both countries, allowing travel will just ensure any more serious mutant strains spread.
