Australians should avoid all non-essential travel, including interstate and longer distances across the country, as Prime Minister Scott Morrison warns more restrictions from state and territory governments will be "inevitable".
"This is incredibly important. It is not just about each of us individually but the person standing next to us, the person who lives across the road, the elderly resident in the same apartment building as you or whatever you might be."He said it was now the case "that travel needs to be reduced to stop the spread of the virus across the country".
