As WA eases its coronavirus restrictions, further relief may come quicker than expected

"The health advice we got was if people are sitting having a meal and having a drink, they are less likely to move around than in other circumstances."

"For a lot of venues to choose to open next Monday, they'll probably be operating at a loss and for how long they can do that is a very, very serious question," he said. "Businesses that have been closed over the past nearly two months, they've had fixed requirements and payments that have not stopped," he said.

"What's more, as we head north in the state the health facilities are far thinner on the ground, and secondly the number of remote Aboriginal communities grows. And we know that is a particular point of vulnerability. West Australians are being urged to maintain vigilance in spite of the state's promising COVID-19 results.
