"We're doing our best for all the parents of children who are born or are waiting for delivery soon," BioTexCom lawyer Denis Herman says in the video. Ukraine's surrogate system came to a sudden stop when its government imposed a ban on foreigners entering in March as part of its attempts to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Many parents couldn't leave their home countries, while others haveentering Ukraine from neighboring Belarus, which has only limited travel restrictions despite the global pandemic.

What's the implication here? There's an industry for surrogate motherhood in Ukraine as childbearing-age mothers aren't having children of their own but are artificially inseminated to give birth for monetary compensation by foreign couples who don't want to undergo child birth?
This is not okay. Babies living without a parent suffer and that suffering doesn’t go away, even if they can’t“remember it”. The loss and grief will live and be remembered in their bodies. This is trauma.
