Ridiculous! Humans think 'it won't happen to me', with a few 'it always happens to me' sprinkled in for the rest of us to laugh at.
The media and Trudeau continue to plant the seeds of uncertainty and fear. You say it long enough and loud enough, people will believe it. My money is on Canadians gradually reverting to the old normal after time.
By 1921 everything more or less returned to normal following the much more lethal 1918 pandemic ..

People will be anxious to get back to normal if/when a vaccine or viable treatment is found people will go back to the old ways. HIV made sex risky but people didn’t abstain from it. Going back to living normally again will just be an acceptable risk for most.
Why do people think this a forever thing when many people have already gotten over the initial panic and are now ready to weigh risk vs. reward like we do with EVERY OTHER DANGER and get back to normal life?
Perhaps a good thing as it is proven, through this fear mongering, relatively non-lethal pandemic that unreasonable shutdown of the economy, that the excessively consumptive, self-gratifying 'lifestyle' society does much harm and tears many apart in 'blaming the other' aggression

I am going on a PandemicVacation next week to niagarafalls I will be sure to Practice Physical Distancing, Wearing a Mask, and washing my hands regularly. Will also be taking Lysol Disinfecting Wipes to wipe down high touch areas in the Hotel Room. No room service etc.
One or two steps too far G&M - if this happens it won’t be permanent. People will start taking their chances for the sake of “living”. Unless of course, we turn into a police state -maybe that’s your point?
What an absolutely stupid article. 'Never' implies that the things mentioned here won't ever return to normal. Those things will be much different in the immediate future but this article implies we will have to social distance for the rest of time.
