The outlook for flying overall, however, remains uncertain, with companies forecasting a slow recovery even next year due to public health restrictions and concerns.
"We expect aviation to recover gradually, starting in July", Finnair Chief Commercial Officer Ole Orver said in a statement. "Our intention is to operate approximately 30% of our normal amount of flights in July, and we will also start long-haul flights to our key Asian destinations. We will then add routes and frequencies month by month as demand recovers."
The airline does not expect passengers to have to sit next to each other as the numbers are forecast to be small. She added that as of Monday, "we require everyone to wear a mask onboard, as masks are considered to be a good solution for those situations where maintaining distance is not possible." The masks are to be worn during the entire flight but doesn't apply to children under 7.
Supply and demand should rule
No shit.
Assume that all visitors to Canada and anyone returning to Canada must self isolate for 14 days upon arrival?
Where can I sign up?
Where would we go? World is a mess.
Planes also recycle air. No such thing as flesh air in sealed cabins.
I just don’t understand that if these companies are going to do that to make flights and travel more affordable. I can never understand why it’s cheaper to fly to Florida than to Vancouver in my own country. Makes 0 sense and shouldn’t you want to travel within your own country?
Seat sales!
Planes were over priced and over crowded with bitchy flight attendants to begin with. They'll have to make a lot of changes and start putting customers first again if they want to keep their business open.
Mixing with people from countries with little testing, cramped space....and the TOILETS😱😱😱
Why would anyone choose to be crammed onto a airplane anytime soon?
I prefer not hearing that noise.
