Beaches across the south of England were packed on Wednesday as the country basked in the hottest temperatures since the coronavirus outbreak began. Since 13 May, people in England have been allowed to take unlimited amounts of outdoor exercise, sit in the sun, drive to other destinations, and play sports with members of their own household

That’s England. Don’t try to lump the Scots, Welsh & Irish in with this nonsense! 🙄

*English

Brits = English....sloppy journalism StayAtHomeSaveLives wales Cymru

Brits? FFS. You published this less than a week ago. Have you forgotten already?

I’ve been at home for 10 weeks.

Not sure about your geography. Again.

Brits when your narrative suits and you’re struggling , Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish when you want a story to tell. Charlatans

Brits? During the past weeks I have totally lost faith in The Guardian, its the English who apparently have ‘flocked’ to the beaches, not the Welsh or the Scots or the Northers Irish. Why have you become anti- celtic nations recently?

Hey...numbnuts.....'English flock to beaches as coronavirus lockdown eases - Celtic Nations still using common sense' Headline sorted!!!

Brits means English nowadays. You guys didn’t get the memo.

English not British - you know this is the case.

How many teachers I wonder

Surely you mean English flock to beaches? The Celtic nations are most definitely not flocking anywhere. England are going it alone on this one! The message from the Welsh, Scottish and Irish is still very much StayHome SaveLives

Not in Wales

Is Brits the most accurate term...?

Welsh beaches empty! Please get this right

Come on ...Scots didn't, Welsh didn't, N Irish didn't... only England. So not 'brits'

ENGLAND. That's ENGLAND. Lockdown is still on in the other countries of the UK Get it right for goodness' sake. 'Journalism' indeed.

English*

Each time I look at The Guardian online they ask me to subscribe. As long as they make mistakes like this and ignore Welsh identity, there's not a snowball's chance in hell that I'll give them a penny piece. There's a lot of us,remember.

Stop dumbing down 'Brits' it's not The Sun 😕 It's people in England, not a snappy headline I know. Still in lockdown in Wales, thank goodness as North is still reaching peak. From an English woman in Ynys Môn.

English!

Please change the headline. This is not Brits as Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are still u see tighter lockdown than England. It is a misleading headline.

You mean English people. It’s not the same thing. Please work on properly representing the UK.

'Brits' is misleading as is not highlighting these beaches were in England only.

*English

Didn't notice any Welsh people flocking to any beaches!

The Brits who live in England.

Fancy changing your headline? I think you’ll find it was the English who flocked to the beaches.

This is in England! In the majority of countries on the British Isles does not allow this stupidity happen, as they have mature responsible governments.

'Fake news' as Trump would say. You mean England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The UK lockdown was always by public consent, and is crumbling daily through lack of enforcement. The govt wants us back at work, so they seem quite happy to turn a blind eye. None of this should happen until the daily death rate reaches single figures.

English (those people who aren’t related to the ancient Britons and have more German and French DNA in them who stole an identity)*

Such selfish people!! Those of us trying to social distance will end up suffering when these fools end up causing a second serge of the virus!

English not Brits. Try and keep up with what’s happening (it is basically part of your job description as a newspaper)

Incorrect and dangerous. This headline should read English flock.... Surely you know by now that there are different rules in the other British nations? Wales is in lockdown as we have not yet reached peak. Please make this clear to your readers as we head towards a bank holiday

English, not Brits. Laws different in Wales & Scotland. Please correct.

At it again. ENGLISH. ENGLISH FLOCK TO BEACHES IN ENGLAND. WALES IS CLOSED.

No, English. Please report properly. We in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 are StayingAtHome StayAtHomeSaveLives

Outside = less risk, esp if social distance and, wearing a N95 mask. So, why media demonize folk is bizarre

This is a dangerous mixture of people's stupidity and the government's ridiculously poor decision to change 'stay home' to 'stay alert'.

Inevitable with such weak and silly advice from a government of indecision and ill thought through plans.

Coming soon to a beach near you... ‘Coronavirus 2: This Time It’s Financial’. Spoiler Alert: with the country already bankrupt from Coronavirus 1, there’s no help coming from the Chancellor...

You too? Can't I sit down for one damn minute?

*English

Here we go again....”Brits”! It was the English, you Grauniad numpties.

Oh wow. Only way over 90% of the population will survive the pandemic. 😱

English flock to beaches you mean.

Idiots

The headline needs addressing. FFS, some professionalism.

Lockdown 2.0 coming June 2020

Technically, there's nothing wrong with this. Providing people practice social distancing, it really doesn't matter if they flock to beaches. The risk of transmission outside is very small, even more so on a day with high UV. Plus, it boosts vitamin C and your immune system.

*The English, not Brits.

Lies.. Lies.. Lies.. Deleted

Gammon doing gammony things

Brits Are you sure about that ? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿😊

Vitamin D is absolutely vital for a healthy immune system Sunbathing is an essential part of developing Vitamin D. These people are protecting themselves and more should do it.

“It’ll take years before things return to normal...” Brits: hold my beer lads...

Brits? 'The stark contrast in scenes at beaches comes after the UK Government announced an easing of lockdown restrictions in England while Wales largely kept its measures in place'

Only to discover that councils have blocked off car parks. Closed toilets. Streets get blocked cos nowhere to park. Nowhere to go to loo. We need joined up thinking. Beaches either are, or aren't OK. Make your mind up legislators

You can put a hankie on your head and sit in a deck chair in 60 degree weather in your own yard without the seagulls and obesity

Toe nails

Show the people from above, you'll that they were on the whole observing the 2 m rule. It's a camera trick showing a foreshortened image.

I am beginning to think that stupidity is contagious and has spread far and wide.

Can they read their statistics?

'English' people. Everyone else is staying safe YesCymru

Seen. I forgive you your sins.

All that debt and job losses and this is what the public do. We deserve what we get now.

Disgusted that people from Leicester and Manchester actually decide to travel to the likes of Southend!! And then think it’s funny to go on tv and say it’s a great thing to do!!A day trip 200 miles away!! God are they thick?! 😡😡😡

Ahh, that famous British common sense

Lobster Town

Whereas in the north west

Exemplary Staying Alert

When Keep Calm and Carry On retaliates.

The beach is fine, but I see little social distancing and masks The next spike will return ?
