PETALING JAYA: The MY30 unlimited monthly travel pass for the Klang Valley commuters are selling like hot cakes.

Prasarana Group chief executive officer Muhammad Nizam Alias said 21,403 passes were sold on the first day alone.

The response was overwhelming as people queued as early as 6am on Tuesday to buy the RM30 pass, he said.With this programme, commuters need to pay only RM30 for an unlimited travel pass valid for a month. It can be used for Rapid Bus and Rapid Rail services in the Klang Valley.He said it was beneficial for daily commuters, adding that the package should also attract new customers who might opt to use public transport to get to work.

Malaysians can buy the MY30 pass at 122 LRT, MRT, Monorail, BRT stations and at five Rapid KL bus hubs of Pasar Seni, Shah Alam Section 2, Greenwood, Kajang terminal and Sri Nilam.
