why doesnt the gov cap costs and mandate the overhead first tho?!

If only the shitbags who run the airline hadn’t blown so much of their record profits buying back shares (which used to be illegal) in order to pad their bonuses...

NO. The United States should have a NATIONAL CARRIER. Airlines are bleeding and want the American taxpayers to put on the band-aid!

Fuck them. Figure it out like the rest of us!

Omg 😆 yeah give more big corps money while your citizens suffer.

Nope, Americans losing homes and receiving only $1200 since April.

Tough time for airlines

And is there some money left for SmallBiz? What are they doing with my taxes? Again, WallStreet crowding out WeThePeople

Ok...but only if they promise not to ban alcohol on their flights...

S E L L airline stocks!!!

RobinhoodApp summon your masses to save $AAL

China can help ...

What did they do with all of our money the government gave them?

In Birmingham, AL a few weeks ago I saw 50 AA planes parked in storage. I thought about that today when it took them all damn day to get me home (4 hours late). Now I have to drive 3 hours one way to get my daughter because they can't deliver her to the destination she purchased.

I flew this garbage airline today. Flights were at nearly 90% capacity, despite promises of reduced crowding. Crew did nothing to stop idiots from standing in the aisle before de-boarding. Wouldn't even give out water in bags for DFW-MOB flight. I'll never fly americanair again.

Sell some damn planes!

NO! Just Say NO!

oh, beyond the bails that the government already gave them?

They should've saved up for a rainy day instead of buying all those $5 lattes. J/K - they actually shouldn't have given their CEO millions in bonuses and returned dividends that made them short when times got rough.

Short $AAL 😬

Why does this airline need that amount of money, or any money at all.

NO!!!!!

The American people should come before American Airlines.

FrasierSein I can give them all of that. Safe to assume that they'll accept a voucher for future usage, with terms that make it pretty much impossible to actually use?

Me too please

People are waiting in lines for FOOD. Where is their financing?

They could make more money if they were on time, treated passengers with respect, didn't charge fees for baggage etc.. then more people would want to fly AA in stead of the other airlines. I have nothing but positive things to say about SouthwestAir will stay with them.

Let the market decide, make flying enjoyable again and then the profits will return.

I am seeking that as well.
