One of two new cases confirmed in NSW on Monday was a suspected false positive, with NSW Health labs running further tests.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, who has fiercely opposed border closures, said NSW residents should reconsider their holiday plans to Victoria.

"Nobody from NSW should be travelling to those hotspots at this present time, and people should consider whether they should be travelling to Melbourne at this point in time, whilst community transmission is where it is,” Ms Berejiklian said. "You should not be travelling to those hotspots at all.” One of two new cases confirmed in NSW on Monday was a suspected false positive in a man aged in his 30s from south-western Sydney, with NSW Health laboratories running further tests.as the rate of testing in people without symptoms increases.Prime Minister Scott Morrison said ongoing outbreaks were expected as the pandemic continues.
