Putrajaya too slow with aid for tourism sector, says group

The Malaysia Association Tour Agency has raised concerns over the government’s slow response in helping the tourism sector get back on its feet after the Covid-19 pandemic. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, July 19, 2020.

PUTRAJAYA is slow in disbursing aid to tourism players under its recent economic stimulus package, said the Malaysia Association Tour Agency . Mata president Mohd Khalid Harun said the association has received many inquiries and complaints from members about the lack of information and disbursement of the government’s RM1 billion facility for the tourism sector under the Penjana package.
