Quarantine is a pain. It would never cross my mind to take a flight if there's the slightest risk that I might have to go into quarantine.
Surely it would make more sense testing people before they get on the plane, now 20 minute results are now available, before the infection potentially gets spread between fellow travellers. UKLabourparty demand is a knee jerk after the horse has bolted idea.

How about everyone wishing to travel must pay extra for a test 2 days before boarding and then have the option to pay for a test on arriving back to home country or isolate for 2 weeks. Seems reasonable if people want go abroad.

A test at the airport is pointless, it may be too early to tell when they land home so go about their normal business and bam 10 days later they test positive and have now passed it on

Oh just on my first trip abroad to Greece. EasyJet did a great job👏. Arrival was a cattle market. 4 planes arrive close together. No social distancing at all! Hotel mainly British, staff doing great job! Pleased to see us. Keep their jobs!
