The federal government has today signed a trans-Tasman travel bubble which will allow New Zealand residents to travel to New South Wales and the Northern Territory without being required to quarantine. Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack announced the first step of the deal would come into effect from Friday, October 16.
“I have just gotten off the phone with Chief Minister Gunner who says the fish are biting and the beers are cold". He revealed the agreement was open to any other state or territory that enforced travel restrictions which were in line with the Commonwealth hotspot definition.
Great when do I and so many others get to travel from Victoria to NSW to see our partners and families? Sounds like the tourist bubble dollar is more important than Australian families and mental health
Congrats to both PM'S. 👍 Some help for tourism in Nsw & NT.
