National Australia Bank chief executive Ross McEwan has called for an increase in skilled migrant movement between Australia and New Zealand, as the two governments agree to open limited travel across the Tasman | CharlotteGriev1

National Australia Bank chief executive Ross McEwan has called for an increase in skilled migrant movement between Australia and New Zealand, as theA deal was finalised between the two governments on Friday to allow one-way tourist travel between New Zealand and New South Wales and the Northern Territory. However, Mr McEwan said this should go further and called on both countries' prime ministers to be "courageous" in allowing workers to start moving across the Tasman.

"Let’s get away from the ideological who’s getting taxed – we need less tax so people spend money inside our economy and we need it quickly to get that moving," Mr McEwan said. NAB extended its loan deferral period for small businesses and home owners in July by a further four months, ending in March next year. Mr McEwan said the bank was not going to extend this again, but would assess each loan on a case-by-case basis and offer repayment extensions to individuals.

Does the NZ travel bubble mean you can travel there? Here's what we knowAfter months of speculation, Australia and New Zealand have worked out how the first stage of a travel bubble between the two countries is going to work. Here's what we know about which states are first in line. It’s a FKN joke so people from NZ can come to Aus but Victorians still can’t move around the country it’s a fucking joke that Aus citizens can’t move around their own country but you’re letting internationals in. Do you know if people can travel domestically after they land in NSW from NZ? For example fly Auckland to Syndey, then travel domestically to Melbourne?
