US Democratic vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris will cancel her travel plans for the rest of the week after two people associated with the campaign tested positive for COVID-19, the campaign said in a statement.

Harris was last tested on Wednesday and was negative. Her communications director, Liz Allen, was one of the two people who tested positive, the campaign said.A travelling staff member for her trip to Arizona also tested positive after that October 8 trip.

The campaign said Joe Biden had no exposure, although he and Harris campaigned together in Arizona on that trip.Harris and Biden spent several hours together that day through multiple campaign stops, private meetings and a joint appearance in front of reporters at an airport. They were masked at all times in public, and aides said they were masked in private, as well. Biden and Harris have each had multiple negative tests since then.
