After Western Australia closed its border to NSW at midnight and other states reimposed border restrictions, Christmas plans have been thrown into chaos.

Mr McGowan’s decision was made following an emergency meeting of the nation’s chief health officers.“Given the size of the Sydney outbreak … NSW will move to be classified as a medium-risk state.”It comes as the country anxiously awaits a press conference from NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, where she’ll be joined by NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Gary Worboys.

Premier Peter Gutwein said he “made no apology” for announcing further restrictions, with greater Sydney upgraded to “medium risk” Saturday night. Anyone from the hotspot area of the northern beaches in Sydney who enters Queensland will need to apply for a permit and then hotel quarantine. The government approved 52,000 exemptions since Victoria introduced their new border control system at midnight Saturday, with those from Sydney’s northern beaches considered a “red zone”.

The median age of Covid-linked deaths in Aus is 86 years old. Check the government website, it says it right there. So in other words: there is absolutely no need to worry as this virus only knocks off people who are on the verge of death anyway. Sad but true: ppl die, people.
