ACT travellers from Greater Brisbane must self-isolate for 14 days

to prevent the spread of a highly contagious strain of COVID-19 that was first detected in Britain late last year.Brisbane woman in her 20s had tested positive for the variant,The millions of people in the Greater Brisbane area are entering a three-day lockdown today to try to contain the disease.

ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr said Canberrans who were currently in Brisbane should follow the Queensland Government's advice and remain there "until the end of the lockdown period"."If you do travel, you may be required to quarantine upon your return to the ACT," he said. "We're going to reassess this situation in three days before making further decisions on the Greater Brisbane area.The ACT's 14-day quarantine period applies from when the traveller was last in the Greater Brisbane area.

The order excludes travellers who transited through the Greater Brisbane region to get to Canberra, as long as they did not leave Brisbane Airport or exit their vehicle while in the affected areas.

Why different rules for ACT when other states are isolating if been in QLD from the 2nd until Monday at 6pm when further directions are known. Inconsistent leadership again 😡
