Turkish tourism bosses are set to allow Britons to arrive from May 17. That is the same date as the mooted lifting of the UK ban on foreign travel. Tourists will be allowed in if they have been vaccinated or have had negative test.

The outside world opening doors to us should really mean nothing. If their virus state is perilous, the government should make travel to those destinations heavily controlled with compulsory testing and isolating when on return.
It concerns me that yes ok we can go if vaccinated, but the vaccine doesn’t stop us catching or spreading the virus when we come back, which is likely to cause another lockdown!
Yes, but how hygienic are Turkish prisons? Like Iran, the regime in Ankara has an unfortunate habit of imprisoning foreign nationals for ransom/political leverage.
