When the Covid-19 pandemic first started, many of us were told to stay home to reduce the risk of getting infected.

Mixing the ultramodern and the traditional, from neon-lit skyscrapers to historic temples, Tokyo is rapidly improving itself to be ready to receive visitors once the travel restrictions are lifted.Located in Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, this café uses “Pepper” – a humanoid robot to interact and take customers’ orders and even entertain patrons with a range of games and activities to choose from, including fortune telling.

Besides Pepper, another humanoid robot named Nao is also designed to amuse patrons by performing precisely choreographed dances. Among Nao’s repertoire are jazz, tai-chi, disco and polka.Another must-visit robot café is Henn na Cafe, which translates as Strange Cafe, situated in the basement of the Shibuya’s Modi building.
