For people 18 and older, a REAL ID will be required to travel on a plane beginning Oct. 1.for trips across the county, federal and state officials are sounding the alarm about a looming deadline that could potentially ground tens of million flyers.

Some state legislators and even federal leaders on both sides of the aisle challenged the act for concerns that it infringed on people's privacy and created problems for immigrants who may not have the necessary paperwork to get a license and fly.

If I don’t need an ID to vote, I shouldn’t need one to fly. They should just take my word on who I am.
Supposed “real ID’s” and “Vaccine Id’s , along w/driver’s licenses, marriage certs & birth certs . We need all of these combined, so we can eliminate excessive gov’t.
So the federal government put in place requirements, that my state made me pay for with an enhanced license that meets the requirements... sounds like poor many by my state

Dont know about anybody else, but when I got my drivers license, I presented a birth certificate and SS card. My children did the same. How many times/ways do you have to prove you're a citizen? Gotta find that birth certificate. Smh.
