“Clearly that’s really the wildcard in the pack,” he said. “Normally there’s a fairly significant clue as to the source of where that infection was. “No overseas travel, no direct link to hotel quarantine, not a healthcare worker so it really does mean it has been picked up in the community and we don’t know how many people it’s moved on to from the original source case.
“That’s what the real issue is here, we’ve got to not only contact all the contacts of this case that’s been picked up but we’ve got to go back in time to see how the original source case came to be. “It just does point to complacency and the issue that the virus is still in the community. "We don’t know where or when it will raise its head and clearly this is a case where for the next few days we’re going to be watching carefully on those numbers.
