Dogs could potentially travel in commercial plane cabins from December – and now there’s a push for our four-legged friends to join us in shops, restaurants and hotels as well.

, with prolonged working from home conditions marking a turning point in “responsible dog ownership”.

“I hope that it’s a beginning for Australians to adopt more responsible dog ownership and start to enjoy their dogs more and look after them a bit better. “Here in Australia, that doesn’t happen very much because people tend to get a puppy and then when it’s not cute anymore, it goes outside and it learns to just look after itself,” she said.

There are also leash laws that require all dogs to be on a lead in public places unless in a designated off-leash area., “pet dogs may be permitted, but only in outdoor dining areas that are not enclosed”.

See well mannered dogs in shops and restaurants throughout Europe and why shouldn’t they have better access here? dogs are people too!

Just imagine the law suite by victims slipping on animal urine and motion, animal are unhygienic in general but in a restaurant, just ask any vet about pathogens that this animals carry in the mouth, I don't allow a dog to lick my face under any circumstances.

To those with genuine fear of dogs, what will be done to manage these people’s fears or do these people just deserve to suffer and suck it up? What is your view News

How about we just focus on getting planes back in the skies first? Then can worry about who or what is on them.

No no no no no no!

Fucker comes next to my food I'll stick it.

Why not cats too? So racist.

There is enough dog shit on paths already… really people….

OK as long as these are fully vaccinated and have a vaccine passport. If they have a wet or runny nose they must quarantine for 14 days.

Was in a pub in the UK on one occasion and two dogs started fighting & everyone lifting legs to avoid getting bitten as they tussled under tables. No idea if that was rare, but not keen on this here in more places

I don’t know where the myth started about dogs being unhygienic. In Europe and England they are allowed inside many businesses and on busses and trains. PS dogs ARE part of the family and do not belong outside by themselves. In USA they travel on planes with their owners.

This would be great

Yay awesome. Like Europe. We love being able to take our dog on holiday with us. Dogs in Europe usually very well socialised because this is the norm. Our dog is part of our family.

Like in Canada

Dining with dog shit on the floors !!

imagine 38 dogs on a long haul flight 🤮

Food stores? No!

Dog drops an egg in the aisle on a flight to WA . Just leave it there to brew ? Stitch up surely

My kangaroo and wombat want to come😎

About time.

I’ve decided today that I don’t like people very much anymore. I’m happy if we have more animals in society. More empathy, more kindness- no lying, manipulating, gaslighting. In some instances, more truthful, interesting and motivating conversations 😊

Dogs get coronavirus.

What’s next? Cars?

Although I love dogs, I still believe they belong outside. Just because some lunatics think they are people, their animals and shouldn't be in restaurants. Not very hygienic

Do they need a covid passport?

If the business allows it, let it happen

This will open everything to Zoonotic disease overload - must not happen

Wheres it shit or do we share cubicles with our four legged friends ! hatetobeatoiletcleaner

push to allow vaccinated dogs into restaurants to shit and piss everywhere ha ha auspol2021 auspol
