While US passengers have been advised not to travel to Ireland at the moment amid the surge in cases, they can still arrive here without having to complete mandatory hotel quarantine

US officials have issued a fresh warning to passengers thinking of heading to Ireland this summer as cases continue to rise.

A number of other destinations were added including Iran, the Virgin Islands, Libya, Kazakhstan, Andorra, Saint Barthelemy, Lesotho, Martinique, Malta, the Isle of Man and Curacao. In early April, the US State Department had labelled 34 countries as "Level Four: Do Not Travel," and later added more than 100 more destinations according to updated CDC ratings.
