NRP: Tourism Ministry says green light for state tourism a boon to sector

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 9 ― The green light for tourism activities within each state involving homestays and hotels for individuals who have been fully vaccinated under Phase Two and the subsequent phases of the National Recovery Plan can benefit the tourism industry.

Its minister, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said Motac saw the announcement on the relaxation by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday as an early measure which could give relief to the industry players affected following the closure of the sector prior to this. At the same time, Motac also said the relaxation would be a boost to all quarters involved to reinvigorate the tourism, arts and culture sectors in the country.

“Let us make use of the facilities given by continuing to observe the standard operating procedures set by the government.
