The aunties of a five-month-old baby who was killed during a magpie attack have applied for a travel exemption to support the parents.

Five-month-old Mia died when her mother reportedly tripped while attempting to avoid a swooping magpie in Brisbane's Glindemann Park.

The distraught aunties have announced their appeal to gain a travel exemption to support Mia’s parents, Simone Francis and Jacob Power, as they grieve the loss of their baby girl. “Katie and Sophie are trying their absolute best to get an exemption to cross the Queensland border so they can be there to support our family,” Mia’s aunties explained.Mia’s parents have “asked for nothing but time to grieve the loss of their stunning little ray of sunshine.”“Mia’s arrival made Jacob and Simone’s lives complete, they constantly doted over her, showered her with love, and shared her for all their loved ones to adore,” the page read.
