Here we go, again: Americans are making and breaking travel plans based on Covid-19 cases and infection rates.mericans are paying close attention to the delta variant of the coronavirus and making and breaking travel plans based on Covid-19 infection rates, according to the most recent. Nearly nine out of 10 respondents say they have heard a lot or a little about recent surges of Covid-19 cases due to the delta variant.

Not even a cheap flight can change minds, it would seem. When asked if they found a great airfare deal to a location that was experiencing a spike in Covid cases, only 31% of respondents say they would definitely or probably jump at the opportunity. Twice as many Americans say they would probably not or definitely not grab the deal.epicenter of the pandemic in the United States

Interestingly, though, not even three in 10 respondents associate the delta variant surge with the country’s second most-infected state, Louisiana, which is currently tallying 115.8 new Covid infections per day, on average, per 100,000 people.
