THE city of Kuching now has a new landmark – the Satok suspension bridge with a design reminiscent of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the United States. Sarawak Chief Minister Abang Johari Openg said apart from that, what is unique and important about the Satok suspension bridge is its construction history, where it has now been rebuilt on the original site it was built on in 1923 during the time of Charles Vyner Brooke, who was the third White Rajah.
