Land and sea travel have been suspended in areas in the path of typhoon “Odette” which is expected to affect most parts of Visayas and Mindanao, the Department of Transportation announced.In a statement on Wednesday, Dec. 15, the DOTr said land travel to the Visayas and Mindanao was already suspended by the Land Transportation Office last Dec. 13, following the request of the Office of Civil Defense in the Bicol Region.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Ports Authority said it has started to comply with the advisories issued by the Philippine Coast Guard . The CAAP likewise assured that airports under its supervision have already activated their respective weather emergency standby protocols while monitoring the movement of the typhoon.
