As Grand Prix fever grips Melbourne, a Mornington Peninsula winery with rolling vineyards, a $70m sculpture park and two award-winning restaurants, will host an exotic car expo.

And for the next three days the 135ha estate hugging the water will be the stunning backdrop for The Motorists Concours d'Elégance, an exhibition of some of the finest automobiles yet displayed in Australia.

The publicity blurb proclaims Concours d'Elégance as"an international celebration of automotive excellence". But the three-day event will focus more on lovely cars including a rare Rolls Royce Ghost Brougham De Ville, a meticulously restored Holden Monaro a McLaren F1 Speedtail, a Bugatti Type 30, a Mercedes Gullwings and a current F1 car from the Grand Prix.

Set on the manicured grounds of Pt. Leo Estate's 35-hectare sculpture park, The Motorists Concours d'Elégance will be the largest yet staged in Australia.
