TACOMA, WA—Warning their coworker to tread lightly or face serious consequences, office sources confirmed Tuesday that employee Erik Greshel was on thin ice after taking an allotted personal day.
“Jesus, that guy is really playing with fire by using one of his management-offered vacation days,” said coworker Carol Fowler, explaining that Greshel had been courting disaster ever since he started taking the full thirty minute lunch break outlined in the employee manual. “It’s crazy. He didn’t apologize to our boss or give some defensive explanation. He just put in his formal PTO request and then didn’t show up to the office.
This is supposed to be satire but this legitimately happens at my work if you use your sick time when you're, y'know, sick
A US company I used to work for was bought by a French one. Talk about culture shock for the US management. Our Aussie VP went on 5 weeks vacation and people were flummoxed when he made it explicit he was to be left alone. 'I'm on vacation.'
I would take days off and be wrecked with anxiety the whole time thinking about the shit I would face going back.
I thought y’all were satire.

I literally saw this just after calling off work.
Been there.

These lazy, entitled millennials really grind my gears
Also probably didn't read the memo about the new cover sheets for his TPS Reports.
You're putting in too many hours - take a day off... Where were you yesterday!!
Reminds me of this, where even on your day off you are still on call, plus other crazy rules
Basically any restaurant or retail job.
One doesn’t take personal days at Lumon Industries.
And taking your full 30 minute lunch is really hurting productivity. We expect the 30 minutes to include travel to and from there workstation.
I got sick and missed a few days while working for ToyotaFinancial the mobbing began shortly after I returned to work. The managers bullied me until I had to quit for my own mental health
Me today 😂
Shit! He should move to Norway, we have so many days off!
American here: AND?
I hate when this happens.
Obligatory, when did this stop being satire comment
