Once TSA said it would no longer enforce the rule, airlines, airports, transit systems and ride-share services were free to decide for themselves whether to require masks. United, Delta, American, Southwest, Alaska, JetBlue and other airlines all made masks voluntary.
Dr. David Dowdy, an infectious-disease epidemiologist at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, said planes can carry the virus from place to place, but that we should be focusing more on big indoor events such as concerts and sporting events — even large weddings —where people get together and talk, shout and sing.The CDC continues to recommend that people mask up indoors while traveling.Yes, masks still give some protection from COVID-19, but they work better if others wear them too.
Although the airline industry lobbied to kill the mandate — after supporting it originally — airlines don’t expect the rule’s demise to affect revenue. They are far more interested in seeing the United States repeal another pandemic-era rule: The requirement that people test clear of the virus within a day of flying to the U.S.
It’s pretty simple. Wear your mask if you want, don’t if you don’t want to. If you’re scared, stay home/keep distance from people if possible. COVID isn’t going anywhere, so we either finally accept that or wear masks for the rest of our lives.

I wear a helmet to protect myself when I play football and NOT to protect the fans watching me. I wear a seatbelt to protect myself and NOT the other driver. So wear you deem necessary to protect yourself from Covid and NOT impose your will on others.
I personally feel that COVID is a Good Thing. This Earth is overpopulated, Anything that will thin the numbers is welcome! That's part of why I never mask or Isolate, Even the Three Times I've had COVID. I'm doing my part in Reducing Population. Less People, The more for Myself!

Why does one judge in Florida get to decide? Florida gets to decide for the country?
No judge in the federal or state level has a authority to rule in or out against scientific approach on Pandemic that effects human livelihoods, it should be left to scientists and the CDC as wellas the WHO to decide weather or not to stop using mask.

It will be interesting to see if more people die this and next year from strokes, heart attacks, cancer, brain disease etc. This will prove that asymptomatic or Long Covid had a part in causing deaths long after unvaccinated or even vaccinated people were infected.
Mask work about as well as taking your shoes off at airport screening it’s a warm and fuzzy feel safe thing not a real safe thing
