The bus tickets are from tomorrow until May 2.Konsortium E-Mutiara Bhd executive chairman Che Ibrahim Che Ismail said among the most popular journeys was from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Baru.
“We are expecting some 4,000 passengers a day throughout the country. On a regular operation day, we have 90 trips, but due to this festive season, we added another 30 trips, making it 120 trips a day,” Bernama quoted him as saying. He added that the bus company would try to meet the commuter’s demand and might add more trips if needed.“They will be assigned according to the schedule set by the operation department to ensure they get sufficient rest to reduce any untoward incidents. Our buses have also undergone maintenance according to the stipulated schedule,” he said.
Although they are operating at full capacity, their revenue is still below the target, but he is assured that the industry is recovering.
