A couple refusing to pay a €300 fine for breaching COVID travel rules say they will go to jail to honour Jesus Christ.

If they were given community service as their punishment, it would serve their crime, their religion, and their community.

Why not just pay the fine as a self sacrifice? Making a show of not paying the fine and going to jail is just sack cloth and ashes.

Couple deported out of Australia last night for arriving un vaxed and failing to present an exemption on arrival. Thats 2 Irish and 2 tennis players so far...
Refuse because of ilegal lockdown and curfews...

They'll end up like these pair of head cases. 2 nights they did apparently and the daughter's husband paid the fine. All talk with no courage of their convictions.

I am not a religious person , but this couple are obviously deeply religious. I admire their principles putting them in jail now will serve no useful purpose.
The great and the good and connected walked in the west courtroom presided over by a judge who wouldn't be one unless he was connected why should they be prosecuted and pay a fine
