On Sunday one passenger tweeted they had missed their 09:15 BST crossing with P&O despite queuing since 06:30 BST, and described having only two border control booths open as a "total outrage".
We have been in the queue since 06:30 for the 09:15 to Calais. We have missed the sailing, and we probably have another 2hours of queues ahead. Total outrage having only two border control booths open on such a busy weekend.
Why is this country in such a mess? Answers fairly obvious. And today I read that you cannot book a driving test for months. Add that to passports, pensions and driving licence delays. Sort it out Boris.

Honestly, I was there yesterday and the passport check was not the problem. The main problem was the Ferry companies check-in. It tooks about 3-4 minutes per car which is insane according to the large number of vehicles.
This will all be sorted when the rest of the EU leaves the EU like we were told it would. Any day now, you’ll see.

It happened to me five years ago, wrong lane (I was in the slow one), then control, of course I missed the ferry although I arrived 2h ahead of departures and then I had to wait miserably until 3am for the following ferry..... Eurostar is so much better and faster
