I feel for the employees. They’re doing their best. Don’t make plans to travel until you have your travel documents in hand. It’s not the government’s fault everyone wants to travel at the same time.
Few years back I went through the hiring process for the passport clerk position. Interviews, tests, references, background checks .... for a 6 month contract. Can't imagine they went through all that for 600 new employees in a short time.

I submitted my newborn sons passport by mail, on the Thursday before Good Friday and I am still waiting. The sad part is, that I’ve been able to get his NEXUS through the US government before he gets his Canadian passport!
Now they can have more people rotating between breaks and shuffling paper at peak times or does that mean all windows will be open and serviced at peak times
