JERUSALEM, June 10 — Israeli citizens will be allowed to travel to Qatar to watch football’s 2022 World Cup, despite the absence of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the government said.
Israeli citizens, like other foreigners, will be permitted to obtain a visa online with proof of a ticket purchase, the statement added. Israel has since September 2020 normalised relations with three Arab nations — the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco. It has also agreed to do so with Sudan.
