Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert says he won't 'sugar-coat' the fact terminals will be packed as more than 2.1 million passengers are forecast to pass through during the July school holiday period.

"It's terrific to see the ongoing demand for air travel but we won't sugar-coat the fact that terminals will be busy during the school holidays, and there will be queues," he said.

Passengers should arrive as close as possible to two hours prior to departure for domestic flights, unless advised otherwise. "We have 1,000 more people hired in the company than we had at Easter. We have 15 per cent more people on ground handling. The airports have more people on security and we have 20 per cent more reserves in place.
