ANU astrophysicist and cosmologist Dr Brad Tucker says the United States is looking to update the laws and regulations of commercial space activity.

“When we think of space and regulation, it’s actually a very confusing area,” he told Sky News Australia.

Dr Tucker said space flight companies, such as SpaceX, are working not only for companies who work in air travel like the Federal Aviation Administration but also for the Environmental Protection Agency to set up their launch sites.
