Abductors of Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Yakubu Lawal Adda, have rejected an offer by his family members to pay N3.5m, insisting that it must be N100 million before his release.

“We offered to pay N3.5million, but they switched off their phone. Then we redialed the number and it was no longer reachable.” He noted that in recent times some criminals have been terrorising and distorting farming and other economic activities in the council He said: “A teacher in Government Science School, Nasarawa Eggon was on Saturday night kidnapped, coupled with the abduction of the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism.”
