Richard Dujardin, 77, of Providence, R.I., was about halfway across the Milwaukee bridge when it began to open,Dujardin and his wife, Rose-Marie Dujardin, were due to fly home that day but wanted to attend mass before their departure.

A witness performed CPR but Dujardin could not be revived. He died of severe head trauma, according to the medical examiner., and father of six.
