After two years of putting off trips both in the country and abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Filipinos should get ready for “revenge travel” as Malacañang released the list of regular and special nonworking holidays for 2023. | NCorralesINQ /PDI

Under Proclamation No. 42 signed by Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez, the regular holidays are New Year’s Day on Jan. 1 , Maundy Thursday on April 6, Good Friday on April 7, Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9 , Labor Day on May 1 , Independence Day on June 12 , National Heroes Day on Aug. 28 , Bonifacio Day on Nov. 30 , Christmas Day on Dec.

25 and Rizal Day on Dec. 30 .For the special nonworking days, these are the Edsa People Power anniversary on Feb. 25 , Black Saturday on April 8, Ninoy Aquino Day on Aug. 21 , All Saints’ Day on Nov. 1 and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary on Dec. 8 .
