Lost luggage, Covid-19 tests and vouchers are among the ruses criminals are using to attempt to defraud customers

customers have been affected recently with Jet2 issuing a warning on Monday in relation to Covid test for travel and credit notes.. In the financial year 2021–2022, Action Fraud received 4,244 reports of holiday and travel-related fraud.who have responded to users posting queries for BA’s official account.are among those who’ve been hit by the recent scams and on Monday the airline posted an image on Twitter providing advice for avoiding scams.

“Always check company telephone numbers and documentation. Scammers may pretend to be a legitimate company. We do not call from 0203 numbers,” it added. When they post questions to the official British Airways account, fake accounts reply to their comments, begin a conversation and then ask the customer to send them money to pay for the luggage.
