Philippines on China’s blacklist of tourist destination due to Pogo

THE Chinese government has included the Philippines under its blacklist of tourist destinations amid the incidents of kidnapping and abuse related to the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations , Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri said Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Zubiri was referring to Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian who paid him a courtesy visit on Monday, October 10. Hundreds of foreigners, mostly Chinese, were also rescued recently from the hands of Pogo operators who were allegedly forcing them to work, some of them were even being maltreated.
