President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has urged residents in areas affected by Tropical Storm Paeng to take the necessary precautions against the weather disturbance.

"#PaengPH may reach severe tropical storm category, resulting in heavy rains in parts of Luzon and Visayas tomorrow," Marcos said on Twitter. Marcos had earlier declared Oct. 31, Monday, a special non-working day. All Saints' Day on Nov. 1 is on Tuesday.These include the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Philippine Coast Guard, the Philippine National Police, and the Metro Manila Development Authority.

The Office of Civil Defense has deployed its assets for transportation and clearing operations, Marcos added.
